Great news!

Yesterday, the House of Commons unanimously supported our legislation to give Canadians a tax break.

The Bill will cut income taxes for 22 Million Canadians beginning July 1, which will save households up to $840 a year.

Don’t let anybody tell you that because we come from a small region, we can’t do big things.

Atlantic Canada represents about 6.5% of the national population but is home to 20% of Canada’s aerospace & defence sector.

The new cabinet met for the first time this morning after the recent federal election.

Our first act was to make good on our campaign commitment to cut taxes for Canadian households.

Today, I was sworn into Prime Minister Mark Carney’s cabinet as Canada’s Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, as well as the Minister responsible for economic development in Atlantic Canada.
