Early Life
Sean is the oldest and only son of two teachers, Sally and John, who raised their large family on a small homestead in Merigomish, Pictou County.
Sean was privileged to have parents with stable and predictable employment, gifting him the opportunity to focus on school and sports - areas where he excelled.
Growing up in rural Nova Scotia was an education in hard work and simple pleasures. The Fraser clan, Sean and his many sisters, were always expected to pull their weight while their parents' passion for progressive politics gave him a front row seat to the true hardships faced by many in his community.
After High School Sean travelled down the road to St.FX University, following in the affordable footsteps of so many Nova Scotia's before him, gaining access to a first class education without having to mortgage the farm.
Ensuring education remained an affordable and attainable achievement for future generations pushed Fraser to become involved in student politics. He lobbied Provincial and Federal governments to invest more in education as President of the StFX Student Union in his Senior year.
Sean’s stint as a young leader helped shape his perspective on how best to serve others in his community. A legal career would open up countless opportunities to help others while giving him financial stability.
Legal Career
After earning his law degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, Sean travelled to the Netherlands for further studies in International Law at The Hague, with Leiden University.

His tireless advocacy for a more affordable future has positively impacted thousands of constituents.
