Red Dress Day at Pictou Landing First Nation

Thank you to Chief Young and to Pictou Landing First Nation for the invitation to join yesterday’s moving Red Dress Day event, on Canada’s National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People.

Acknowledging the harms Indigenous women and girls have suffered, and the discrimination that continues today, is an important step forward on the path to reconciliation.

Thank you for the opportunity to join, and thank you to so many of our community members who came out to be a part of it.
