International Women’s Day 2024

March 8th marks International Women’s Day. It’s a day to celebrate women’s achievements and to build support for the effort to break down barriers to success and equality that remain in place.

This year’s theme is “Inspire Inclusion” and provides an opportunity to recognize the need to include more women in politics.

Women’s representation and participation in conversations around decision making tables changes the discussions that take place, and leads to better decisions - not just for women, but for everyone.

Let’s take the opportunity this International Women’s Day provides to recognize the contributions women have made to our community and to commit ourselves, individually and collectively, to build a more equal and inclusive Canada.
