Fantastic News for Community Groups Across our Region!
Our communities would not be what they are without the hard work and dedication of our charities and not-for-profits.
Unfortunately, during a time when they were needed the most – over the pandemic – they had the most limited resources and have since struggled to regain the finances they had pre-pandemic.
To help, our government introduced the Community Services Recovery Fund, a one-time, $400 million investment to help charities and not-for-profits adapt, modernize, and get back on their feet.
Here in Central Nova, more than $829,000 was awarded to 11 organizations:
Naomi Society, Antigonish - $88,427
Pictou County Volunteer Ground Search and Rescue, Little Harbour - $12,162
Tearmann Society, New Glasgow - $76,373
