Today I became Canada’s new Minister of Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities!

Big news - Today I became Canada’s new Minister of Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities!

I want to thank everyone who supported me in my time as Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship over the past two years.

Together, we’ve welcomed a record number of workers with the skills our economy needs, reunited more families who can be with their loved ones, and resettled more refugees fleeing violence, war, and persecution than any other country in the world.

But our job isn’t done. Our economy is growing and so are our communities. We need to help build enough housing to make sure every Canadian has a safe and affordable place to call home.

There is much to do in the days ahead. Let’s get to work!
