Huge news for Pictou County!

This morning I announced that the federal government is investing $31.7 Million to help connect every home and business in Pictou County to high speed internet!

Connectivity has become essential to our local economy, allows us to better respond to emergencies, and helps us remain connected with our friends and families.

However, not every household in our rural communities have reliable access to this essential service.

I joined representatives from the Pictou County Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Pictou County at Fossil Farms Oceanside Retreat on the Shore Rd. to share this important news for our region.

This investment is part of our Universal Broadband Fund which will ensure that 100% of Canadians will have high-speed connectivity by 2030.
