A Visit to Summer Street

These sweet linen roses aren’t as easy to make as you’d think!

I had a fantastic visit to Summer Street with my colleague, Minister Ginette Petitpas Taylor, where we gained a better understanding of Summer Street’s work to provide life skills programming and social opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Our government is always proud to support organizations like Summer Street, who contribute so much to our community. Earlier this year, we committed over $35,000 to help them design and construct a new greenhouse.

Special shoutout to Emily who took the time to teach me how to make these beautiful roses out of linen cloth. It’s a skill that I can’t wait to teach my own kids!
