Green energy is the future and that is why the federal government is investing $255 million to increase wind energy generation and develop one of the largest green energy battery storage projects in the country, right here in Nova Scotia.

The combined value of both the public and private investments that are being made as part of this announcement exceeds $1 billion!

This announcement includes a new wind farm on the border of Pictou and Antigonish Counties which will not only create jobs in our communities but will help shift our reliance off of fossil fuels.

I’m looking forward to seeing a continued focus on transitioning to a renewable economy that will create jobs at home and secure a sustainable future for our kids and grandkids in the years ahead.
