Thank you Karla

There are certain people you meet that leave a lasting impression. Karla MacFarlane is one of those people.

Being an elected official is not easy, but Karla has demonstrated a strong commitment to her constituency and Nova Scotia with competence, grace, and determination.

In addition to her role as MLA for Pictou West, she has served in ministerial portfolios and most recently, as the first female ever elected to serve as the Speaker of Nova Scotia’s Legislature.

I am grateful for our years of working together for the betterment of our constituents and our community, and especially for our friendship.
