Happy Tartan Day!

Today is a day for the millions of Canadians with Scottish roots to celebrate their culture and heritage.

While Tartan Day is now celebrated Canada-wide, it started right here in Nova Scotia in 1987.

Scots and their descendants have helped to shape our country since their arrival centuries ago. Their contributions to politics, education, arts and entertainment, and more have helped to make Canada the country it is today.
