Exciting news for fishing communities!

With lobster season underway on the Eastern Shore and about to begin on the Northumberland Strait, it’s essential that we make the investments necessary to support the industry that helps drive our local economy.

This year’s budget includes $463.3 Million to repair and maintain Small Craft Harbours, which is going to make a big difference at home.

This funding is going to support local companies who do the work to repair our wharves and dredge our harbours, and will ensure local harvesters have a safe place to haul their catch.
