Improving Infrastructure in Pictou County!

Great news for Pictou County!

We’re contributing $7.8 Million to support five water infrastructure upgrades in Stellarton, New Glasgow, Trenton, and the Municipality of Pictou County.

Every level of government is partnering on these projects and will be investing a total of $17.7 Million in our communities.

These projects help create good jobs at home, they provide clean water to local residents and prevent pollution in our waterways, and they enable more home building in our own backyard.

Among the projects we’re supporting is the MacLellan’s Brook water extension. Families in Greenwood and Coalburn have been dealing with poor water quality as a result of underlying geological conditions for years.

We are going to change that.

We’re contributing $3.7 million to install a new water distribution main which will provide access to clean drinking water to approximately 195 properties.
