School food programs make an enormous difference!

Over the course of the last few months, students from Northumberland Regional High School have reached out to share their concerns about food security in Nova Scotia and to highlight the efforts they are making to ensure all students have access to healthy food everyday.

Today I visited the school to see the NRHS Karma Closet free lunch program where I learned more about their work and the impact they are having on the school community.

Their efforts are nothing short of spectacular. I want to thank the students and staff whose commitment helped make this program a reality.
