Commemorating the Battle of the Atlantic
Yesterday we commemorated the Battle of the Atlantic, and reflected on the sacrifices made during the longest battle of the Second World War.
During the darkest days of the war, thousands of Canadians in the Royal Canadian Navy, the Canadian Merchant Navy, and the Royal Canadian Air Force faced perilous conditions to protect our seas and to maintain supply chains that supported the war effort.
We remember the Allied soldiers, airmen, merchant seaman and sailors who lost their lives in the Battle of the Atlantic.
Lest we Forget.
