Positioning Atlantic Canada as a Leader in Renewable Energy

The strength of our economy will depend more and more on renewable energy in the years ahead. The regions that figure out how to produce clean energy will attract good paying jobs for a generation.

We’re working to make sure Atlantic Canada sees some of this economic benefit.

This includes a recent investment of $9.25 Million in Net Zero Atlantic that will help support the development of offshore wind and will help to determine how we can both clean up our own regional electricity grid, and create good jobs at home by selling clean energy to the world as it transitions towards renewable energy.

By tapping in to the opportunities presented by offshore wind power and green hydrogen in our region, we can create good-paying jobs, attract global investment, and do our part to protect the environment.
