Comfort Centre Upgrades Across Pictou County!

Climate change has brought an increase in severe weather to our region. Now, more than ever, we need to be prepared.

Today, I joined volunteers and members of local organizations to announce an investment of nearly $750,000 through the Hurricane Fiona Recovery Fund to support comfort centres at 30 different locations across Pictou County.

Comfort centres provide shelter, food, and electricity to help ensure our community members have their basic needs met during local emergencies.

Thank you to everyone who donates their time and energy to keep our neighbours safe and to ensure our communities are prepared for the next storm that may come our way!
