Another session in the books!
Another session in the books!
I’m back home to spend time in the constituency for the summer and with this session wrapped, I’m proud to look back on these last few months and acknowledge what we’ve accomplished together.
With your support, we’ve:
Committed to the largest healthcare investment in Canadian history.
Set Nova Scotia up to become a world leader in clean offshore energy.
Supported a major investment in Nova Scotia’s Michelin plants that will help sustain thousands of jobs at home.
Opened our $5000 Oil to Heat Pump Affordability Grant that will reduce pollution and help homeowners save money.
Created new pathways for skilled immigrants to address our labour needs, including in health care and home building.
Created a new grocery rebate that will support households who need it (landing on July 5)!
Permanently eliminated interest on Student Loans.
New tax deductions for workers in the skilled trades.
Adopted legislation to establish more childcare spaces across the country at $10/day.
New Canada Dental Benefit that will ensure low-income Canadians can afford to go to the dentist.
We’ll be sure to continue building on this progress when parliament resumes in September but in the meantime, I’m very much looking forward spending some time with my family and community members around the constituency.
There will be lots of events over the summer, so if you see me out and about don’t be a stranger!
