Sean named Most Effective Government MP in Question Period

As the current session of Parliament wraps up today, I was honoured to see the Hill Times annual Parliamentary awards acknowledge some of the effort I've put in to help the Government navigate the economic response to COVID-19.

I was selected as the Most Effective Government MP in Question Period who is not a sitting cabinet minister, and one of the Best Public Speakers in Parliament.

But the honour I am most proud of was being named as one of the best MPs to work for on Parliament Hill.

You can't get anywhere or accomplish anything in politics without an extraordinary team to support you, and I have been blessed with incredible staff from the time I began serving as an MP.

For the past year and a half while I have been helping develop many of the emergency support programs to keep households and businesses afloat through this pandemic, my team has dealt with thousands of calls, emails, and meetings with people in our community who've needed help.

So - to Janet, Janice, Edna, Diane, Kyle, Lindsay, Malcolm, Savannah, Emily, and MacKenzie - thank you!

Our community is lucky to have you and I am grateful for the work we get to do together every day.
