Exploring Solutions to Affordable Housing

Access to affordable housing is an increasingly important issue across Canada, including here at home.

Over the past few months, we've been working to help establish and support community groups that will focus on solving our region's unique housing needs in Pictou County, Antigonish, and the Eastern Shore.

Our recent discussions have been informative and productive, with a focus both on identifying short-term solutions for people in need and creating a long-term strategy for the region.

It's refreshing to see engagement between citizens, different levels of government, non-profits, and industry experts. There is not a silver bullet that will solve the housing challenges we face. But, with the dedication of our community members, I'm confident we will achieve progress together.
