Promoting Women and Girls' Participation in STEM & Skilled Trades

Women are dramatically under-represented in many sectors of the Canadian economy.

Our communities are missing out on opportunities for growth because we haven’t made the investments necessary to overcome systemic barriers that inhibit women’s economic success.

Today I met with Techsploration, a Nova Scotia-based organization that works to promote women and girls’ participation in STEM, the skilled trades, and entrepreneurship at home. 66% of the participants of the program said that it influenced their decision to pursue post-secondary education.

Thanks for the insight on your important work. I look forward to seeing your programming role out across the country!
