FUNDING AVAILABLE THROUGH NEW HORIZONS FOR SENIORS PROGRAM UNTIL JUNE 21

If an organization you're part of offers or would like to offer programming to support seniors - you are eligible for funding through this program!

In the past, I have seen organizations use this funding to do things like: purchase heat pumps, renovate buildings, purchase tables and chairs, create an outdoor bbq area, purchase fitness equipment, repair a roof, offer yoga classes, build a gazebo, purchase garden supplies, upgrade lighting, repair a parking lot, fix the ceiling, and purchase a television.

These upgrades increase the participation of seniors in our community centres. Some of these projects have allowed seniors to do paint nights, attend card parties, organize outdoor lunches, participate in music lessons, and play shuffleboard. Examples of these organizations vary from Harbour Lites, the Bickerton Community Club, Club 60, to the Town of Stellarton.
