Applications for Canada Summer Jobs for Employers due Feb 2, 2018

The applications for employers for the Canada Summer Jobs Program for 2018 are now open.

The deadline is February 2nd, 2018.

Every year, the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program helps employers create valuable summer job opportunities for full-time students between the ages of 15 and 30, while strengthening local economies and communities across Canada. Last year in Central Nova, the CSJ Program funded 220 projects and 330 jobs through an investment of over $8 million.

CSJ provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees. Not-for-profit organizations can receive up to 100 percent of the provincial/territorial minimum hourly wage, as well as employment-related costs. Public-sector employers and small businesses can receive up to 50 percent of the provincial/territorial minimum hourly wage. Applicants could benefit from funding from the Government of Canada and help your business while investing in the development of a young worker.

Those who have hired students in the past know how beneficial it can be for your organization. You also know first-hand how important it is for students to develop their skills and acquire valuable work experience while making a positive contribution to our community.

I encourage you to take advantage of this program and apply for funding by February 2, 2018.
