Nature Conservancy of Canada expands protected area on Musquodoboit River and Musquodoboit Trailway

On July 25th I had the pleasure of announcing that the federal government is investing $90,000 to conserve 166 acres of ecologically sensitive terrain in the Musquodoboit River Valley.

This partnership with the Nature Conservancy of Canada will help protect at-risk turtle species and migratory birds, protect natural climate mitigation, and builds on last year’s investment in the area that protected 171 acres.

Following the announcement I was able to travel to the area, to learn more – it was quite enjoyable!
