We’re going to double the Volunteer Firefighters Tax Credit, and the Search and Rescue Volunteers Tax Credit!

So many of our communities in rural Nova Scotia depend on volunteer firefighters for our safety. Last year, during the most devastating season of wildfires in record, volunteer firefighters and search and rescue teams put themselves at risk to help protect our communities.

Volunteer firefighters and search and rescue personnel deserve recognition for their selfless service to our communities.

I know this will make a difference for a lot of rural communities at home, and the people who keep us safe.
