A visit to One of Pictou County’s Oldest Businesses!

I recently stopped by to visit Chris Stewart and the team at I. Matheson Co. Ltd to visit their operations in New Glasgow.

iMatheson is one of the oldest businesses in Pictou County. As a designer and manufacturer of pressure vessels and other industrial equipment, their products supply regional, national and international markets.

A fun fact that I learned while visiting, in 1896, iMatheson was contracted to produce buoys for the Department of Fisheries and now almost 128 years later they are manufacturing more buoys, this time with a more modern design.
