Canada Strong: Budget 2025

Last week, the federal government introduced Budget 2025. This budget reflects the campaign the Prime Minister ran on, and puts Canada on a new course.

It is focused on building a stronger Canadian economy with good paying jobs. It advanced new policies that will help get major projects built, support business growth, and find customers with new trading partners around the world.

The budget has billions of dollars in support to help build our communities at home, including housing, health care infrastructure, as well as recreational and cultural buildings.

We’re also committed to building a more secure Canada. This includes a pay raise for members of the Canadian Armed Forces, new equipment to support them, and a defence industrial strategy to create jobs for Canadians in the process. It also includes funding for 1000 new RCMP and 1000 new border officers to help fight organized crime and stem the flow of illegal guns and drugs across into Canada.
