Great Time at Moser River Days!
We’re supporting the fishery to help create jobs at home.
The seafood sector is a major contributor to our economy in rural Nova Scotia, and we need to maintain the wharves that support the harvesters who sustain this sector of strategic importance to the Province.
As part of a $74 million investment to improve and maintain Nova Scotia’s Small Craft Harbours, we are seeing local projects receive funding, including:
Wharf repairs in Lismore
Improvements to the breakwater at Cape John
Wharf reconstruction at Caribou, and
Dredging in Toney River
These projects will create local jobs in the short term, promote local economic development, and help grow the fishing and seafood industries.
I’m looking forward to seeing the work move ahead on these important projects so we continue to benefit from a growing fishery that creates good paying jobs at home.
