Nearly $3 Million is going toward a new greenhouse expansion at Summer Street Industries!
Summer Street is an incredible local organization which provides opportunities and employment to over 200 adults with intellectual disabilities.
I joined the organization this morning along with my provincial counterparts, Karla MacFarlane and Greg Morrow, to announce a federal investment of $1.5 million through ACOA's Canada Coal Transition Initiative toward a new fully accessible all-season greenhouse. The Province of Nova Scotia is contributing an additional $1.4 Million.
This support will allow Summer Street to produce food for its food-service business, sell food locally, and give back to food banks - all year long.
