Welcoming Refugees from across the World.

For the first time in Canada’s history, we have added a community partner who can refer refugees to us from all over the world. ⁣

Before yesterday, only the UNHCR Canada could do that. ⁣

Now, Rainbow Railroad can too. We will rely on their expertise in the LGBTQ2+ community to identify those facing persecution on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity and to help bring them to safety in Canada. ⁣

I shared this news last night at the Freedom Party in Toronto alongside not only Justin Trudeau and Kimahli Powell but some of the world’s fiercest RuPaul's Drag Race performers Luxx Noir London, Monét X Change, and Queen priyanka. I was honoured to receive the an award for my work on this file. ⁣
