Three new pickleball courts on the way for River John!

Three new pickleball courts on the way for River John!

Pickleball has become increasingly popular over the last couple years, especially amongst seniors. In keeping with this growing trend, I recently stopped by the River John Legion to announce $25,000 to build some courts through the New Horizons for Seniors Program.

This year, more than 100 projects will be funded across Nova Scotia through this program. Whether it be improving walking trails, fixing up community halls, or encouraging activity through sport, this funding does an incredible job at encouraging seniors to stay active and connected!

Congrats to the River John Legion! I can’t wait to stop by and see the finished courts!
