Exciting News for Atlantic Canada

Big news for Atlantic Canada!

We want to save you money and do more to protect the environment. That’s why our government is implementing the following measures:

• We are doubling the additional amount that rural residents receive for the climate rebate.

• We’re making heat pumps FREE for families in Atlantic Canada with below median incomes that get off of oil to heat their homes, helping them to save thousands of dollars every year on energy costs.

• We’re pausing the price on pollution on home heating oil for 3 years to give people time to make the switch to a heat pump, giving 0% interest loans to everyone who installs them, and to encourage more folks to make the switch, we will send $250 to those who sign up for a heat pump!

We will keep working to help support families here in Atlantic Canada, and to protect the environment at the same time.
