A Tribute to Dr. Ray Wagg

Today we gathered for a beautiful service to honour the life and memory of one of our community’s most treasured members, Dr. Ray Wagg.

Ray was one of our region’s favourite eye doctors, a loving husband, father, and devout community volunteer if there ever was one.

Our community will feel the loss, but we should also feel gratitude as we look around and see the lasting impact of his contributions through his volunteer and fundraising efforts with our local Kinsmen Club, Summer St. Industries, the Aberdeen Hospital Foundation, and his support for recreational infrastructure in our community, among many other things.

Ray approached life with unbridled optimism and consistently brought joy to those around him. Though he was a lifelong Liberal and terrific political supporter, he was a better friend.

I will miss Ray dearly, as will our whole community.

May we meet again one day.
