Fantastic News for the Pictou County Wellness Centre

More tourism and large events on the way for Pictou County!

The Pictou County Wellness Centre is an incredible asset to our community. It helps bring the community together for Crushers games, family swims, and allows us to host large events that bring tourists to the area.

Today, to ensure that this facility continues to provide for our community, we are announcing an investment of $125,000 which will allow the Pictou County Wellness Centre to host the BOOST National, a major 2023 Grand Slam of Curling event, as well as other large-scale events in the future.

With this funding, the Centre will install special effects lighting, enhance the appearance of the atrium, purchase new audio-visual equipment to enhance their international broadcast quality, improve the Wi-Fi network, install ramps and automated doors and make other improvements.

Congrats on the upgrades! I’m looking forward to seeing them in action, and can’t wait to see some of the world’s best curling on display in our community!
