Expediting Travel Documents for International firefighters!
The wild fires have severely impacted Canadians across the country. That’s why we’ve expedited travel documents for hundreds of international firefighters coming to assist our Canadian response. To all the fire fighters: we are beyond grateful for your help and cannot thank you enough.
Our government will also be providing Canadians, permanent residents and temporary residents free replacement of travel documents damaged or lost due to the fires.
Individuals directly affected by the wildfires and whose status expires by September 30, 2023, can apply to restore or extend their status in Canada for free. We remain dedicated to collaborating with provinces, territories, and communities across Canada to support those impacted.
