Congratulations to Premier-Designate Tim Houston and Nova Scotia’s Progressive Conservatives on a successful election campaign!

Whatever our difference in partisan stripe, I am cheering for you to succeed. Your success is all of our success.

As one of your neighbours here in Pictou County, I know that you and your team have a grip on the issues facing our shared community and I’m looking forward to working with you for the betterment of our region and Province.

To my friends with the Nova Scotia Liberal Party, though this is not the result you’ve been hoping for, you have much to be proud of.

You’ve helped advance major projects in our communities, you’ve set Nova Scotia on a course to achieve net-zero emissions, you’ve signed off on a deal to establish $10/day province-wide daycare, and you’ve helped manage the COVID-19 pandemic as successfully as nearly any other jurisdiction on the planet. These initiatives, among many others, will have a positive and lasting effect on our Province for a generation.

To all of the volunteers - thank you for your contribution. We are now in a federal election cycle. If you want to join a team that will work to support our communities with increased investments in health care, a focus on fighting climate change, a dedication to making life more affordable, and a commitment to pursuing equality, we would love to have you!

So rest up for a few days, and hop back on the campaign trail with us!
