A Great Day for Housing in Pictou County!

We’re helping build more homes in Pictou County!

Today, I joined the Mayors of New Glasgow, Pictou, and Westville to announce a $5.6 Million contribution to help their communities create more than 2,100 additional new homes in the years ahead.

They're going to do it by speeding up their permitting processes, changing municipal bylaws to make it easier to build homes, and including new types of homes such as modular designs, small multiplexes, tiny homes, and more affordable housing.

Today is an exciting day here in Pictou County, as we make sure that small and rural communities like ours get the support they need to build homes at prices families in our community can afford.
