I’ll be there on Saturday October 14th, but the event takes place on Saturday & Sunday, October 14th & 15th, from 11am to 4pm.
The Nova Scotia Forest Festival is a showcase of the many ways Nova Scotians connect to the Province’s forests for their livelihood, housing, recreation, food, and heritage.

Join us for the quintessential Canadian experience of gathering around the campfire for stories, songs and roasted marshmallows!
Enjoy nature walks and educational sessions on everything from wilderness survival and forest ecology to contemporary harvesting and manufacturing
In addition to showcasing how we connected to our forests in the past, we will highlight the importance they still hold for us today, and will continue to hold in the future.
The event is free admission with traditonal lumberjack meals being served in the Cookhouse. ($10 for your choice of a bowl of Beef Stew, Corn Chowder or Baked Beans, brown bread, gingerbread and sauce and a beverage.)
This is sure to be a fun fall weekend that will connect all visitors to to our forests and all they have to offer!
