Our community has been working very hard to celebrate the exciting 250th anniversary of the landing of The Betsey, which brought the first English speaking settlers to the area in 1767.

I’m looking forward to joining everyone on Saturday June 10th for the official ribbon cutting ceremony, and hope to join in the other scheduled events as well (listed below).

Saturday, June 10:
8 a.m-10 a.m.: Community pancake breakfast at Lyons Brook hall
10 a.m.-noon: Traditional craft demonstrations at Lyons Brook hall
1-3p.m.: Betsey genealogy – Lyons Brook hall
3 p.m.: Official ribbon cutting ceremony for the kiosk
3:45 p.m.: Community barbecue at Lyons Brook hall
7 p.m.: Variety concert featuring Dave Gunning, John Spyder Macdonald, Karen and Cheryl Corbin, etc
